Payments for social welfare recipients for August have been postponed due to the transition into the Government’s new financial year.
Lynda Tabuya, the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, stated that efforts are being made to speed up the process to ensure that all recipients receive their allowances.
“We recognize how crucial these payments are for our beneficiaries and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” she said.
Tabuya also mentioned that starting in September, all future payments will return to the regular schedule.
