A special audit is set to occur at Queen Victoria School following serious allegations of bullying involving nine senior students. Education Minister Aseri Radrodro announced that the audit will encompass all aspects of the school’s operations. The implicated students have been provided counseling by the Substance Abuse Advisory Council and sent home by the head of the school due to their misconduct, which breaches the Ministry of Education’s Child Protection Policy.
Minister Radrodro emphasized that this action aims to ensure the safety of other Year 9 and 10 students while a detailed report is awaited. He reiterated that any form of corporal punishment or violence is prohibited in schools, reinforcing that such behaviors not only violate student rights but also degrade the educational atmosphere.
The minister also noted that the issue of ‘Kingpin’ has resurfaced despite assurances from the school’s administration to prevent such occurrences.
