The NZFFI Auckland All Stars clinched the Pacific Community Cup today at Churchill Park in Lautoka, successfully defending their title with a 2-0 triumph over the Manukau All Stars in an exciting final.

The victory was secured thanks to two early goals from guest players Eber Ramirez and Nicolas Bobadilla, both showcasing their exceptional skill under the guidance of coach Josaia Bukalidi. Despite a valiant effort from the Manukau All Stars in the second half, their attempts were thwarted by a formidable defense featuring standout performances from Mohammed Shuaib Khan and Gabriel Matanisiga.

In the semifinal matches, Auckland All Stars dominated the hosts, Lautoka, with a 2-0 scoreline, while Manukau All Stars also advanced with a 2-0 victory against the USA All Stars.

As champions, Auckland All Stars received a cash prize of $10,000 FJD, while the Manukau All Stars took home $3,000. Additionally, Mohammed Nabeel from Auckland was honored as the Player of the Tournament, with Beniamino Mateinaqara securing the Golden Glove. Garbhan Coughlan from Manukau earned the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals, and the AuFFI All Stars were recognized as the Fairest Team.

This year’s tournament was not only a showcase of talent but also a celebration of sportsmanship and competition in the Pacific community. The matches highlighted the commitment and passion of the players, promising an exciting future for regional football.
