The Auckland All Stars triumphed in the Pacific Community Cup final at Churchill Park in Lautoka today, successfully defending their title with a convincing 2-0 victory over the Manukau All Stars.

The decisive goals were scored early in the match by guest players Eber Ramirez and Nicolas Bobadilla, showcasing the prowess of Josaia Bukalidi’s coached team. Despite a determined effort from the Manukau All Stars in the second half, their attempts to find the back of the net were thwarted by a resilient Auckland defense, led effectively by Mohammed Shuaib Khan and Gabriel Matanisiga.

Earlier in the tournament, Auckland All Stars secured their place in the finals by defeating the hosts, Lautoka, with a score of 2-0. Manukau All Stars also demonstrated their strength by claiming victory against the USA All Stars with the same margin.

For their achievements, the Auckland All Stars were awarded $10,000 FJD while the runners-up, Manukau All Stars, received $3,000. Mohammed Nabeel was honored as the Player of the Tournament, while his teammate, Beniamino Mateinaqara, earned the Golden Glove for his outstanding goalkeeping. Garbhan Coughlan from Manukau All Stars was recognized with the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals throughout the tournament, and the AuFFI All Stars were recognized as the Fairest Team.
