Auckland All Stars Secure Spot in Pacific Community Cup Final!

The reigning champions, the NZFFI Auckland All Stars, have secured their spot in the grand final of the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup by defeating the host team, Lautoka, with a 2-0 victory in the first semifinal held at Churchill Park this morning.

The match saw the All Stars take control in the second half, with strikers James Hoyt and Mohammed Nabeel each scoring goals that sealed the win for their team, coached by Josaia Bukalidi.

Lautoka had a promising opportunity to score in the 27th minute when striker Sairusi Nalaubu attempted to chip the ball over Auckland’s goalkeeper Beniamino Mateinaqara, but his shot hit the crossbar, denying the home team an early lead.

With this victory, the Auckland All Stars will now await the winner of the semifinal clash between the USA All Stars and the Manukau All Stars, which is set to take place at 3 PM today.
