The NZFFI Auckland All Stars, the reigning champions, recently took a break from their busy schedule at the Pacific Community Cup to engage with the students of the Nadi Centre for Special Education. During their visit, the team generously donated $1,500 to support the 2025 Back to School stationery needs of the students, along with soccer balls to enhance the school’s sports programs.
Team Manager Kartik Reddy reflected on the emotional nature of the visit, recalling that the team last interacted with the school in 2016. He noted that the trip served as a poignant reminder for the players to appreciate the small things in life, something that can often be overlooked in New Zealand. Reddy expressed gratitude towards the team’s sponsors, which included Rams Group of Companies Ltd, All in One Builders Company LTD, Hyperchem Pharmacy, ITAX4U, 3DEES Electrical Ltd, and Smart Efficient Security PTE Ltd, for enabling this meaningful experience.
As the Auckland All Stars prepare to face the USA All Stars later today, currently leading Group B with three points after a 2-1 victory over Rewa, their community engagement showcases the team’s commitment to not only excelling in sports but also giving back to the community.
This act of kindness aligns with the spirit of sportsmanship that transcends the game, highlighting the positive impact athletes can have on local communities. As they continue their journey in the tournament, their contributions remain a testament to the importance of community support and uplifting those in need.
