The Auckland All Stars triumphed over the Manukau All Stars with a decisive 2-0 victory in the Pacific Community Cup final, held at Churchill Park in Lautoka. This win marks the Auckland team’s successful defense of their title.

The match kicked off with an exciting start, as guest players Eber Ramirez and Nicolas Bobadilla each scored early goals, setting the tone for the game under the guidance of coach Josaia Bukalidi. Despite their efforts in the second half, the Manukau All Stars struggled to breach a formidable defense, anchored by Mohammed Shuaib Khan and Gabriel Matanisiga.

In the semifinals leading up to the final, Auckland All Stars secured their spot by defeating the host team Lautoka 2-0, while Manukau All Stars also won by the same scoreline against the USA All Stars.

As champions, the Auckland All Stars were awarded a cash prize of 10,000 FJD, while Manukau All Stars took home 3,000 FJD. Individual accolades were also distributed, with Auckland striker Mohammed Nabeel earning the title of Player of the Tournament. The Golden Glove honor went to Beniamino Mateinaqara, the goalkeeper for Auckland, while Manukau’s Garbhan Coughlan was recognized with the Golden Boot for scoring seven goals throughout the tournament. Additionally, the AuFFI All Stars were recognized as the Fairest Team.

This tournament showcased not only the competitive spirit of the teams but also highlighted the exceptional talent present in the Pacific football community.
