The NZFFI Auckland All Stars secured their spot in the grand final of the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup by defeating the host team, Lautoka, with a score of 2-0 in the semifinals held at Churchill Park this morning.
The reigning champions showcased a solid performance with second half goals from strikers James Hoyt and Mohammed Nabeel, under the guidance of coach Josaia Bukalidi.
Lautoka had a promising opportunity to take the lead in the first half when striker Sairusi Nalaubu attempted a chip shot over Auckland’s goalkeeper, Beniamino Mateinaqara, but unfortunately hit the crossbar, denying them an early goal.
