Aspen Medical has introduced two new ambulances to service the Ba and Lautoka hospitals.

The ambulances are Toyota Land Cruiser Military models, equipped with a 4.5-litre diesel engine and manual transmission, ensuring the safety of both patients and staff during transfers between the hospitals.

Chief Operations Officer in Fiji, Barry Herberts, stated, “The ambulances meet Australian Standards and are fully equipped with the necessary medical gear for on-road emergencies.”

“We will continue to work in close collaboration with other service providers to meet the needs of our patients,” he added.

In the first half of this year, 1,065 patients have been transferred between the hospitals.

Aspen Medical Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd, a Public-Private Partnership company formed by the Fiji National Provident Fund and Aspen Medical Pty Ltd, manages Lautoka Hospital and Ba Hospital under a contract with the Government of Fiji.
