Aspen Medical Enhances Ambulance Fleet for Hospitals in Fiji

Aspen Medical has added two new ambulances to its fleet for the Ba and Lautoka hospitals.

The new vehicles are Toyota Land Cruiser Military model ambulances equipped with a 4.5-litre diesel engine and manual transmission, designed to ensure safety for both patients and medical teams during transfers between the hospitals.

Barry Herberts, Chief Operations Officer in Fiji, stated, “The ambulances meet Australian Standards and include a full range of medical equipment necessary for emergencies on the road.”

He added, “While we have introduced our ambulance services, we will continue to collaborate with other service providers to meet the needs of our patients.”

In the first half of this year, 1,065 patients have been transferred between the two hospitals.

Aspen Medical Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd is a Public-Private Partnership between the Fiji National Provident Fund and Aspen Medical Pty Ltd, managing the Lautoka and Ba hospitals under a contract with the Government of Fiji.
