Aspen Medical Enhances Ambulance Fleet for Fiji Hospitals.

Aspen Medical has added two new ambulances to support the Ba and Lautoka hospitals.

The new vehicles, Toyota Land Cruiser Military model ambulances, come equipped with a 4.5-litre diesel engine and manual transmission to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff during transfers between the hospitals.

Barry Herberts, Chief Operations Officer in Fiji, stated, “The ambulances meet Australian Standards and are fully equipped with the necessary medical equipment for emergencies on the road.”

He also emphasized, “Although we have introduced our ambulance services, we will maintain close collaboration with other service providers to meet our patients’ needs.”

In the first half of this year, 1,065 patients have been transferred between the two hospitals.

Aspen Medical Health Care (Fiji) Pte Ltd is a Public-Private Partnership between the Fiji National Provident Fund and Aspen Medical Pty Ltd, managing the Lautoka Hospital and Ba Hospital under a contract with the Government of Fiji.
