Arson Confirmed in Suva’s Defence Club Blaze: What’s Next?

The National Fire Authority has determined that the recent fire at the Defence Club in Suva was caused by arson. The incident, which occurred earlier this year, has been officially concluded according to NFA Chief Executive Puamau Sowane. The investigation report indicated that the fire, which took place on February 27, was traced back to its origin, confirming arson as the cause. The case file has been forwarded to the Police Crime Office. In parallel, Chief of Crime ACP Mesake Waqa has acknowledged receipt of the report and stated that investigators will be reviewing the findings.
