The National Fire Authority (NFA) has announced that the fire at the Defence Club in Suva has been deemed an act of arson. The incident, which occurred earlier this year, took place on February 27. NFA Chief Executive Puamau Sowane stated that the investigation has concluded, identifying the fire’s origin and source as intentional. The case has been forwarded to the Police Crime Office for further action. Additionally, Chief of Crime ACP Mesake Waqa confirmed that the report has been received and that investigators will now review the findings.
