Arson Confirmed in Suva Defence Club Fire: Investigation Underway

The National Fire Authority has determined that the fire at the Defence Club in Suva is classified as arson. The incident occurred earlier this year, with the blaze breaking out on February 27. NFA Chief Executive Puamau Sowane announced that the investigation has concluded, revealing that the cause of the fire has been officially listed as arson based on its origin and source. The case file has been transferred to the Police Crime Office. In response, Chief of Crime ACP Mesake Waqa confirmed receipt of the report, stating that investigators will now begin analyzing the findings.
