The National Fire Authority has determined that the fire at the Defence Club in Suva has been classified as arson. The incident occurred earlier this year, with the building catching fire on February 27. NFA Chief Executive Puamau Sowane stated that the investigation has concluded, and the fire’s cause has been identified as arson based on the origin and source. He noted that the case file has been submitted to the Police Crime Office. In addition, Chief of Crime ACP Mesake Waqa confirmed that they have received the investigation report, and investigators will now begin analyzing the findings.
