The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced that registration for the Fiji Government scholarships for the academic year 2025 commenced on the 2nd of this month, following the release of Year 13 examination results.

Potential applicants are advised to upload their Year 13 examination results along with the final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI) to complete their application. TSLS made it clear that they will only assess applications that include a final offer letter and will not consider provisional offer letters.

Acting Chief Executive Officer Avinay Kumar highlighted the importance for students who have not yet registered to do so promptly, as the application period will close on January 31 of the following year. He also encouraged Year 13 students who will graduate in 2024 to take swift action when applying, noting that some scholarships have limited availability.

Once applications are submitted successfully, they will enter a processing stage where they will be assessed based on relevant eligibility criteria. TSLS will notify applicants of their results via the email they registered with, and they will also have the option to check the status of their applications through the TSLS Online Application Portal.

Additionally, TSLS urges students to thoughtfully consider their chosen academic programs, emphasizing the importance of assessing the job market opportunities available.

This initiative opens doors for students looking to further their education, providing them with crucial financial support. It reflects a commitment to enhancing access to education and improving future employment prospects for young individuals in Fiji.

In summary, the TSLS is calling on Year 13 students to prepare and apply for government scholarships, ensuring they secure a bright future and access higher education opportunities.
