ANZ Banking Group is set to enhance its internet and mobile banking services, aiming to facilitate quicker and more efficient fund transfers to Vodafone’s M-PAiSA digital wallets. Starting January 15, 2024, customers will need to utilize the Transfers tab for all transactions to the M-PAiSA platform through the ANZ internet banking and ANZ Pacific app.

Rabih Yazbek, the country head for ANZ Fiji, announced that the previously available bill payment option for M-PAiSA transfers will be discontinued to streamline the process further. He emphasized that this update will capitalize on the capabilities of the national payment system, ensuring that customers receive their funds more promptly.

“This simplified process means M-PAiSA transfers will be processed faster, getting funds into our customers’ wallets,” Mr. Yazbek mentioned. He encouraged customers who frequently use M-PAiSA to familiarize themselves with the updated process ahead of the changeover.

Mr. Yazbek also highlighted that digital banking is a key aspect of ANZ’s strategy to enhance financial accessibility throughout the Pacific region. The ANZ Pacific app and internet banking platform play a crucial role in overcoming geographic and infrastructure challenges, especially for those in remote areas. ANZ is committed to continually reviewing and improving its services to meet evolving customer needs.

To complete a transfer, customers must log in to their online banking or ANZ Pacific app, select the Transfers tab, choose local banks, input the recipient’s mobile number or select a saved recipient, enter the amount, and confirm the payment. This upgrade underlines ANZ’s dedication to providing efficient banking solutions in the Pacific, ensuring customers can access their funds seamlessly and swiftly.
