ANZ has announced the appointment of Rabih Yazbek as the new head of client coverage for the United Kingdom and Europe. Yazbek, who previously served as ANZ’s head in Fiji, is recognized for his pivotal role in steering the bank through Fiji’s recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic.
During his tenure, Yazbek oversaw substantial growth in both the commercial and retail banking sectors, as well as spearheading the advancement of digital banking initiatives. His leadership has led to significant improvements in the bank’s operations and customer engagement in the region.
Sarah Stubbings, ANZ’s Pacific Regional Executive, commended Yazbek for his exceptional contributions to the bank and the Pacific region. “Rabih leaves behind a legacy of deep customer relationships, strong regulatory engagement, and a values-led culture that will serve us well into the future,” she stated.
This transition marks an important milestone for ANZ as it continues to strengthen its presence in Europe and the UK, building on the solid foundation established in the Pacific under Yazbek’s leadership.
