Sixteen-year-old Annie May from Savusavu FC has been appointed as the captain of the Digicel Fiji Junior Kulas for the upcoming OFC U-16 Women’s Championship. She will be joined by vice-captain Ulamila Rasovsova, as the team gears up for the tournament, which begins this Sunday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. Teams from Samoa, New Zealand, Tonga, Cook Islands, Tahiti, and Solomon Islands have already arrived in Fiji and are settling in ahead of the event. The New Caledonia team has faced delays in their arrival due to flight complications but is expected to join the other teams soon. The Marika Rodu-coached Fiji squad will play their opening match against Tonga at 3 pm this Sunday.
