ANCF Unveils Bold Plans for 40,000-Seat Church: A New Era for Worship

The All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) is planning to construct a church that will accommodate a congregation of 40,000 individuals. This announcement was made by ANCF General Superintendent, Reverend Epeli Ratabacaca, during the church’s Epic Rugby Sevens tournament held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on Friday.

Rev Ratabacaca highlighted that the tournament serves as a fundraising effort for the new church project. The church will be built on a 25-acre site, and he emphasized that this facility will be open for events organized by all Christian denominations.

“Our motivation to create this facility is for the entire body of Christ. We are thankful that God has chosen us for this mission,” he stated. Rev Ratabacaca added that the church would not only serve their community but would also be available for other denominations to utilize for church conferences.

He expressed concerns regarding the use of sports grounds for worship, noting that locations like the Vodafone Arena, which recently hosted a Methodist Church Conference costing nearly half a million dollars for a week, are unsuitable. “These sports grounds and the Vodafone Arena are not the house of God. Many Christian annual conferences are held in such venues, and during rainy weather, attendees suffer from getting wet and cold,” he remarked.

“This facility will be designed to ensure that we feel comfortable while worshipping God,” he concluded.
