Alumni Unite for Fun at ACS Sports Day!

Former students of Adi Cakobau School gathered for the annual sports fun day at the Suva Grammar School indoor court yesterday. This event was organized as part of the school’s birthday celebrations, with women and girls of different ages split into four teams representing the school’s houses.

Ilisapeci Movono, President of the ACS Old Girls, explained that the purpose of the event was to bring the alumni together. “This year we thought we’d have a sports day just to bring everybody together, give them a chance to meet each other, interact and showcase their talents,” said Movono.

The day kicked off with a Zumba session at 7 am, followed by various games including volleyball, walking netball, tug of war, and card games. Card games like trump were included to encourage participation from older players.

Movono mentioned that participants can anticipate another sports day next year, emphasizing that the fun of these events will continue. “For next year, the sports day will be scheduled at a time that works for everyone. While we are unsure of the specific plan for next year, we are certain there will be one, and we will continue to have fun.”

The day’s events wrapped up with a dinner for the old girls at Paradiso Restaurant in Albert Park, Suva, on the evening of the event.
