Forty-four members of the All Nations Christian Fellowship (ANCF) from the Macuata branch came together with congregations from across Fiji this week for a spirited camp at Lautoka Primary School, celebrating the arrival of the new year. This diverse group, which included participants from both the English and Fijian services, made the journey from Vanua Levu to engage in a week filled with spiritual activities and programs.

Church member Paulina Taucega shared that the group left Labasa at 3 pm on Christmas Eve and reached Lautoka by 12:30 pm on Christmas Day. They planned to return to Labasa at 6 am today via an Interlink vessel.

The week’s agenda featured a youth conference from December 25 to 27, alongside dedicated Sunday school sessions on December 28 and 29. The events continued with women’s and men’s ministry gatherings on December 30, culminating in general meetings and a combined New Year’s Eve service to mark the end of the program today.

“I convey my well wishes for the new year; I know it’s going to be a good year because we started this year with the theme ‘confidence in God’s presence,’” declared Ms. Taucega. She expressed optimism for the upcoming year, emphasizing her belief that with a foundation of faith and frequent communion with God, the congregation would be guided through their journey ahead.

Throughout the week, Ms. Taucega highlighted the significance of daily prayer for the church’s ministries, including Sunday school, youth, women’s, and men’s groups. “It is vital you pray daily, and the Lord will reveal everything to you and ensure your journey is blessed,” she stated. She expressed hope that the fruits of their spiritual labor would be evident when they return home, carrying with them the blessings of their time spent together in devotion.

Gatherings like these foster a strong sense of community and shared faith, providing members with renewed energy and commitment as they step into the new year together.
