Eswa Nadan, a former striker for Nadi and the national team, is set to lead the AuFFI All Stars in the upcoming Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup, which commences on Thursday at Churchill Park in Lautoka. Nicknamed “Ninja,” Nadan aims to secure the team’s inaugural title victory.
In an interview, Nadan emphasized the team’s rigorous preparation for the four-day tournament and highlighted the pressure to perform well as hosts. He stated, “This year, we are taking a different approach with the goal of winning every match. Previously, we’ve fallen short, but we have worked diligently to ensure we meet all preparation requirements.”
Nadan praised the efforts of President Nick Sharma in selecting top talent, as well as manager Moshin Javed Nabi for bringing in prominent guest players. The team comprises a harmonious mix of both young and seasoned players, including individuals with National Premier League (NPL) experience.
Fijian fans can look forward to high-quality football from the AuFFI All Stars, as Nadan promises a serious commitment to winning every match. The team will announce their captain on Thursday, prior to their first game against Navua at 6:15 PM.
