Fiji-born All Blacks winger Sevu Reece is set to start against Japan this Saturday. The talented player from Kadavu will take his place on the left wing.
This match holds special significance for veteran Blues player Patrick Tuipulotu, who has been appointed captain of the All Blacks for the first time in his international career. Additionally, Peter Lakai and Ruben Love have been named in the reserves and are poised to earn their first caps.
In the front row, Tamaiti Williams, Asafo Aumua, and Pasilio Tosi will start, while the locks will feature Sam Darry alongside Tuipulotu. The flanks will be manned by Samipeni Finau and Vice Captain Sam Cane, with Wallace Sititi playing at number 8.
Cam Roigard will be making his debut as the starting number 9, and Damien McKenzie will take on the role of flyhalf. Reece will be joined by Mark Tele’a on the wings, while the midfield will consist of Anton Lienert-Brown and Billy Proctor. Stephen Perofeta will hold the position of fullback.
The forward reserves include George Bell, Ofa Tu’ungafasi, Fletcher Newell, Josh Lord, and Lakai, while the backline will be covered by TJ Perenara, David Havili, and Love from the bench.
