Crusaders’ Chay Fihaki has been added to the All Blacks squad as a replacement for injured vice-captain Jordie Barrett ahead of the second Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia in Wellington. Barrett has been ruled out of the match due to a knee injury, which has been confirmed as damage to the medial collateral ligament (MCL).
Fihaki, who made his Super Rugby Pacific debut under coach Scott Robertson in 2021, has showcased his versatility by playing both as a winger and a fullback. In the recently concluded Crusaders’ 2024 season, he scored four tries in 14 matches.
The All Blacks are set to face the Wallabies this Saturday at 7:05 PM at the Sky Sports Stadium in Wellington.
