Chay Fihaki, an outside back for the Crusaders, has been selected for the All Blacks squad as an injury replacement for the upcoming second Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia in Wellington. This decision follows the announcement that All Blacks centre and vice-captain Jordie Barrett will miss the match due to a knee injury. The All Blacks confirmed that Barrett has sustained damage to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his knee, thereby ruling him out of the game.
The 23-year-old made his Super Rugby Pacific debut in 2021 under coach Scott Robertson and has showcased his versatility by playing in various positions, including on the wing and at fullback. In the 2024 season with the Crusaders, he has scored four tries across 14 matches. The All Blacks are set to face the Wallabies at 7:05 PM this Saturday at the Sky Sports Stadium in Wellington.
