The All Blacks Sevens (AB7s) team has officially been announced as a participant in the 2025 McDonald’s Coral Coast 7s Tournament. Tournament organizers have confirmed that the squad, led by Tomasi Cama, will compete alongside Fiji’s leading 7s clubs.

Jay Whyte, the founder of the tournament, expressed excitement about the participation of the AB7s. He noted that both the AB7s and Fiji 7s teams will use the tournament as a preparatory event for the Perth SVNS scheduled for the following week.

The inclusion of such a prestigious team in the tournament is expected to enhance the competition significantly. According to Whyte, the AB7s will face strong challenges not just from the Fiji 7s squad but also from international teams and local Fijian club sides, making for an exhilarating series of matches.

The Coral Coast 7s Tournament is set to take place from Thursday, January 16, to Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
