Motorists experienced significant delays at Nadi International Airport yesterday due to a vehicle fire that occurred during a collision. Police spokesperson Constable Wame Batutolu reported that the incident took place at around 10:30 AM.
According to Batutolu, the driver of a vehicle traveling toward Lautoka failed to yield to another vehicle that was turning at the roundabout leading to the airport. This resulted in the vehicle heading towards Lautoka catching fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported from the incident.
Traffic in the area has been further complicated by faulty traffic lights, and traffic direction has been managed using cones. An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
