Air Niugini Boosts Flight Frequency Between Port Moresby and Hong Kong for Enhanced Connectivity

Air Niugini has announced an increase in its direct flights from Port Moresby to Hong Kong. Effective from the 1st of July, 2024, the carrier will operate four flights per week, up from the previous three. The additional service will be provided every Monday, joining the current Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday flights.

Air Niugini has been operating flights between Port Moresby and Hong Kong for over three decades. The Acting Chief Executive Officer, Gary Seddon, remarked that the augmentation in flight frequency will offer greater capacity and convenience for both business and leisure travelers, as well as for cargo shippers.

Highlighting Hong Kong’s status as a global financial and aviation hub, Seddon pointed out that the city offers onward flight connections to over 200 destinations with its codeshare partner, Cathay Pacific, and other partner airlines. This is a significant opportunity that the business community can leverage.

He further added, “For leisure travelers, you can explore and enjoy the city’s vibrant streets and discover for yourself the diverse cultures, culinary excellence, and people.” All of Air Niugini’s flights between Port Moresby and Hong Kong are operated by the comfortable wide-body Boeing 767 aircraft.
