Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Waterways Tomasi Tunabuna commenced his 2025 tour with a visit to the Ba office in the Western Division, where he met with staff to recognize their hard work and commitment despite the challenges they face. During the visit, Tunabuna expressed his appreciation for the team’s efforts in supporting stakeholders, especially local farmers.

He emphasized the significance of maintaining integrity, staying updated on industry changes, and adopting new agricultural technologies to enhance productivity and sustainability in farming practices. Tunabuna also highlighted the benefits of teamwork, noting that a collaborative approach would strengthen both the Ba office’s performance and the Ministry’s overall effectiveness.

Senior Agriculture Officer Petero Mausio expressed appreciation for Tunabuna’s visit, describing it as a morale booster for the team as they strive to elevate their work standards.

In the coming days, Tunabuna plans to visit livestock farmers in Ba and Tavua to gather insights on how the Ministry can provide better support to the agricultural community.
