Agricultural Innovation Takes Center Stage in 2025 Tour

Assistant Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Tomasi Tunabuna, recently visited the staff in the Western Division, beginning at the Ba office, as part of his 2025 tour. During his visit, Tunabuna expressed gratitude for the staff’s hard work and commitment in the face of various challenges, particularly their efforts in supporting local stakeholders and farmers.

He emphasized the critical role of integrity within the team and the necessity of staying updated on agricultural advancements. Tunabuna highlighted the importance of integrating new technologies to enhance both productivity and sustainability in farming practices. Moreover, he encouraged a spirit of teamwork, stating that collaborative efforts would improve not only the operations at the Ba office but also benefit the Ministry as a whole.

Senior Agriculture Officer Petero Mausio welcomed Tunabuna’s visit, referring to it as an uplifting experience for the team as they strive towards enhancing their standards of work.

In the coming days, Tunabuna plans to engage with livestock farmers in Ba and Tavua to collect insights on how the Ministry can provide further support.
