Jale Colata Qasevakatini, a 59-year-old seasoned bodybuilder, has proven that age is merely a number with his remarkable performance at a recent International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) event held at the Suva Civic Centre. Demonstrating his exceptional skill, Qasevakatini won three medals: two golds for Best Entertainer in the Region and Most Muscular Pose, and a silver medal in the masters category.

His journey in bodybuilding began over 25 years ago at Chairman’s Gym in Suva. Currently training at Metro Gym, he is not only focused on his own success but is also dedicated to nurturing the next generation of bodybuilders by sharing his knowledge and experience with young enthusiasts.

Qasevakatini is concerned about the low participation of younger athletes in recent events and encourages more of them to compete in future IFBB competitions. He, along with fellow senior bodybuilders, is committed to guiding and supporting these younger competitors to help them navigate their journey into the bodybuilding world and connect with the IFBB.

As the Mr & Ms Fiji event approaches next month, Qasevakatini encourages all competitors to stay optimistic and prepare diligently for upcoming competitions, including those in New Zealand scheduled for next year.

This narrative not only highlights Qasevakatini’s personal achievements but also illustrates his commitment to fostering a supportive community for aspiring athletes. Such mentorship is invaluable in creating a vibrant and competitive bodybuilding scene, ensuring that passion and knowledge continue to be passed down through generations.

In summary, Jale Colata Qasevakatini serves as an inspiration, showcasing that dedication to sport can come at any age, while encouraging younger athletes to pursue their dreams within the world of bodybuilding.
