Adi Akisi Ravoka is passionately pursuing further education to fulfill her dreams. The 28-year-old resident of Drauniivi Village in Ra celebrated her graduation yesterday, earning a Certificate in Automotive Mechanical Engineering from the Pacific Polytech Campus in Tagitagi, Tavua.
Among 130 graduates from this technical and vocational institution, Ravoka’s accomplishment marks a significant milestone in her personal journey. Currently juggling her roles as a mother of three and an attache at the Yaqara Pastoral Company in Tavua, she reflects on her education, viewing it as a stepping stone toward a brighter future.
Having always aspired to be a teacher during her youth, Ravoka faced numerous obstacles along the way. However, her determination never wavered, and she is now focused on redefining her goals. “While growing up, I always wanted to become a teacher, but I faced obstacles and challenges along the way. I did not give up on my dream,” she said.
Ravoka firmly believes that her education has unlocked opportunities for her. The skills and knowledge she has acquired will enable her to make meaningful contributions in any workplace. She has ambitions to further her studies and envisions teaching automotive engineering, hoping to make a significant impact on future students.
Throughout her journey, Ravoka has navigated challenges such as balancing her responsibilities at work and home while managing financial constraints. “Managing my time with children, work, and studies was challenging. Sometimes I missed classes because of financial difficulties, but I never gave up,” she shared.
