The health facility in Namuka had to wait two months for a new boat, as confirmed by Minister for Health Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu. He noted that the villagers had been anticipating the delivery for 25 years, making the additional wait relatively minor.

Dr. Lalabalavu expressed his desire to personally deliver the boat to the health facility. He mentioned that he informed the nurse a few weeks prior to the official handover that the boat was ready for delivery, which brought her great joy.

The new boat is expected to greatly benefit the villagers of Tawake and nearby islands, as the local health facility is essential for these communities.
