Defending champions Axellerate Aflame Brothers are on track to retain their title at the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament, following a strong performance in their pool matches. The team started their campaign with a narrow 10-5 victory over Radisson Naduruniu, followed by impressive wins against St Peter Vuya Bua (24-5) and a commanding 26-0 victory against Senikabuta Babas.
Captain Sefanaia Tokaduadua expressed confidence in the team’s efforts, noting the intense competition they face in the tournament. “Our aim is to defend the title; we will give it our best. I thank the boys for their effort in the first two games, and while we focus on future matches, we are mindful of the strong teams present,” he remarked.
