Defending champions Axellerate Aflame Brothers are positioning themselves strongly to retain their title at the 49th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament, following a solid run in their pool matches. Their campaign kicked off with a tightly contested 10-5 win against Radisson Naduruniu, subsequently followed by notable victories over St Peter Vuya Bua (24-5) and a decisive 26-0 triumph against Senikabuta Babas.

Captain Sefanaia Tokaduadua has expressed confidence in the team’s performance while acknowledging the fierce competition they face at the tournament. “Our aim is to defend the title; we will give it our best. I thank the boys for their effort in the first two games, and while we focus on future matches, we are mindful of the strong teams present,” he stated.
