Representatives from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development, and Statistics, Professor Biman Prasad, today.
During the visit, the Director General of the Pacific Department, Leah Gutierrez, and Regional Director of the Pacific Sub Regional Office, Aaron Batten, provided updates on ADB’s ongoing support in various sectors. This includes efforts in the water sector, coastal operations, health, roads, bridges, and private sector financing.
Professor Prasad acknowledged the ADB’s support, highlighting its role as a key strategic partner for development. He noted that the relationship between ADB and the region has been ongoing for over five decades, beginning in 1970.
