Acting Attorney-General Siromi Turaga has commended his staff for their resilience and professionalism during a challenging year characterized by increased workloads and often invisible responsibilities. He acknowledged that while the efforts of many employees frequently go unnoticed by the public, they are critical to the effective functioning of the institution.
“This year has been tough. The work we do is not easy, and the pressure is real. Many of you carried responsibilities others may never see, yet continued to give your best. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed,” Turaga remarked, emphasizing the importance of their hard work.
As the holiday season approaches, Turaga highlighted the key values of humility, sacrifice, love, and service. He noted that true leadership is rooted in humility, transcending ranks and titles. The success of the Office, he stated, relies on collective effort rather than individual accomplishments, and he expressed gratitude for the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by the staff throughout the year.
Additionally, Turaga acknowledged the sacrifices made by the families of staff members, recognizing their crucial support and encouragement. He encouraged all officers to take the time during the festive season to relax and reconnect with their loved ones.
In his message, he also promoted the spirit of giving, underscoring that acts of generosity extend beyond financial contributions. Simple acts of kindness can create a significant positive impact, particularly during challenging times, reflecting the values of compassion and unity within the community.
This festive season serves not only as a time for reflection but also as an opportunity to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts of individuals and families who support one another in tough times.
