KPMG Fiji, part of the global accounting firm, has added two new partners to their lineup to aid in continued expansion within the South Pacific. These new additions, Marissa Apted and Mohammed Khan, will work out of the KPMG Suva office. Their appointments speak to KPMG’s continued growth since 2021, boosted by the expansion of their Fiji office network and staff base.
With these new appointments, as of July 2024, the count of partners in the firm reaches nine and overall staff reaches 334.
Mohammed Khan joins as KPMG’s audit and assurance partner, having started his journey with the firm 14 years ago. His professional experience spans working with various industries – superannuation, telecommunications, banking, financial services, and manufacturing – in Fiji and across the Pacific Island countries.
Marissa Apted, who joined as a graduate accountant at KPMG Sydney in 2004 and later transferred to the KPMG Suva office in 2016, steps into the role of advisory partner. Apted specialises in risk consulting, people consulting and transaction advisory services catering to a diverse client base across different industries in Fiji and the Pacific regions.
Both appointments are set to take effect from July 1, 2024.
KPMG Fiji has seen steady growth since it integrated with the KPMG Australian Enterprise Practice in July 2021.
