A Mother’s Miracle: How One Hospital Changed Everything for Ulamila

Maria Sauvou expresses her deep gratitude to the Sai Prema Foundation hospital, stating that without their help, her daughter would still be battling Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD). Her 16-year-old daughter, Ulamila Naivalu, was diagnosed with RHD when she was just one year old.

“It has been a long and challenging 15 years for us. I am immensely thankful that, on Thursday, Ulamila underwent a successful operation,” Ms. Sauvou shared. “It felt like a heavy burden had been lifted off my shoulders. Now, my daughter can live freely.”

She expressed relief at the end of constant worries, sleepless nights, and painful injections. Despite the struggles, Ms. Sauvou focused on creating a supportive environment for her daughter, using positive encouragement to help her through tough times.

“There were moments when Ulamila showed signs of her heart weakening, and I would rush her to the hospital for her injections. Those were incredibly tough times for both of us,” she recounted. “But with the unwavering support of our family and continuous prayers, Ulamila persevered through the challenges.”

After years of searching for solutions, surgery became their only hope. Ulamila was treated at the Sai Prema Children Hospital. “When I first learned about her RHD, I felt like the world had abandoned me. My heart was heavy and I lost hope, but then Sai Prema Children Hospital appeared in our lives,” Ms. Sauvou shared.

She expressed her gratitude for institutions that specifically cater to children with such illnesses, considering it a miracle. “Like many parents, we are truly blessed by this foundation,” she said.

Ms. Sauvou encourages other parents not to hesitate in seeking check-ups for their children. “We are not wealthy, but God answers prayers, directing us to the Sai Prema Foundation hospital. The staff and medical team have been incredibly helpful, making Ulamila feel at home in a comforting environment.”
