The health facility in Namuka faced a delay of at least two months for the arrival of their boat, as reported by the Minister for Health, Dr. Atonio Lalabalavu.

According to the minister, the villagers had been waiting for 25 years for the delivery of this vessel, making the additional wait less concerning. Dr. Lalabalavu expressed his desire to personally present the boat to the health facility.

He informed the nurse just weeks prior to the handover that the boat was ready for delivery, which brought her great joy. This new boat is set to benefit the residents of Tawake and neighboring islands, as the community heavily relies on the health services offered by this facility.
