Diwan Chand Maharaj, the founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, was remembered as a “true friend to many” and a “dedicated professional” in the printing industry during his funeral service held at Dignified Crematorium. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka delivered a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Maharaj, who established his printing business in 1982. Over the course of more than four decades, Quality Print became a prominent name in Fiji’s printing sector, renowned for its excellence and innovative approach.

Mr. Maharaj’s passing signifies a considerable loss for both his company and Fiji’s printing industry, which he significantly contributed to while also providing support to numerous local businesses. In addition to leading Quality Print, Mr. Maharaj co-founded Sun Insurance PTE Limited in 1999 and was instrumental in the establishment of the Kidney Foundation of Fiji.

Beyond his professional achievements, he was a passionate community leader, actively engaged in various charitable organizations and having served in the Rotary Club since 1990. He also held the esteemed position of national president of the Sanatan Dhar-am Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji. Prime Minister Rabuka acknowledged Mr. Maharaj’s dedication to love and friendship, virtues that he demonstrated throughout his life.
