A Legacy of Love: Farewell to Diwan Chand Maharaj

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka expressed his condolences as he joined family and friends in honoring the late Diwan Chand Maharaj at the Davuilevu Crematorium. Maharaj, known as the founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, was recognized for his impactful contributions to both business and community.

During his life, Maharaj highlighted the importance of love and friendship—core values he instilled in his children and the wider community. His legacy is marked by a strong commitment to charity and compassion. In 1999, he co-founded Sun Insurance PTE Limited and played a vital role in establishing the Kidney Foundation of Fiji.

Maharaj’s influence extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was actively involved in various charitable organizations and served as a member of the Rotary Club since 1990. He also held the position of national president of the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.

Prime Minister Rabuka reflected on Maharaj’s life, celebrating him as a devoted family man, a loving grandfather, a great-grandfather, and an inspiring mentor. He concluded with a heartfelt farewell, wishing for Maharaj’s soul to rest in peace.

This tribute underscores the remarkable impact of Diwan Chand Maharaj on his community and serves as a reminder of the values of love and friendship that can transcend generations.
