Diwan Chand Maharaj, the founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, was remembered as a “true friend to many” and “dedicated professional” during his funeral service held at the Dignified Crematorium, attended by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. Maharaj established his printing business in 1982, contributing over forty years of service to the industry, and his efforts have significantly shaped Fiji’s printing sector, making Quality Print a leading name recognized for its quality and innovation.
Prime Minister Rabuka highlighted Maharaj’s influential role not only in business but also in community service. In addition to founding Quality Print, he co-established Sun Insurance PTE Limited in 1999 and played a crucial role in creating the Kidney Foundation of Fiji. His commitment to community welfare was further demonstrated through his active participation in charitable organizations and as a long-standing member and past president of the Rotary Club since 1990. Maharaj also served in a prominent capacity within the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.
