Maria Sauvou expresses her deep gratitude to the Sai Prema Foundation hospital, crediting it for saving her daughter from ongoing struggles with Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD). Ulamila Naivalu, who is now 16, was diagnosed with RHD when she was just one year old.

“It has been a long and arduous journey spanning 15 years. I am incredibly relieved that Ulamila underwent a successful operation last Thursday,” Ms. Sauvou stated. “It felt as if a heavy weight was lifted from my shoulders. My daughter is now free to live without the burden of her illness.”

She shared her relief, saying, “There will be no more worries, sleepless nights, pain, or injections.”

Despite the challenges, Ms. Sauvou made it a priority to create a positive environment for Ulamila, encouraging her during tough moments. “There were instances when Ulamila’s heart condition worsened, prompting me to rush her to the hospital for treatments. Those were incredibly difficult times, especially for her.”

With the unwavering support of their family and constant prayers, Ulamila persevered through her trials. For years, Ms. Sauvou had been searching for options, and surgery emerged as the only viable solution.

Ulamila was admitted to Sai Prema Children Hospital. “When I first received the news about her RHD, it felt like the world had collapsed around me. I was overwhelmed with emotion, especially knowing how young she was. I lost all hope until the Sai Prema Children Hospital became a possibility,” she recounted.

“I am truly grateful for institutions like this one that focus on treating children with such diseases. We, like many parents, feel blessed by this foundation. It’s nothing short of a miracle,” Ms. Sauvou added.

She encourages other parents not to hesitate in seeking check-ups for their children. “We may not be affluent, but God answers prayers and guided us to Sai Prema Foundation hospital. The staff and medical team were incredibly supportive, making Ulamila feel at home. It truly is a comforting place,” she reflected.
