A total of 59 teams from Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada will compete in the football segment of the 10th Sanatan World Cup, set to take place in Sydney next month. The tournament, sponsored by the Rams Group of Companies, will occur over four days from September 26 to September 29 at the Blacktown Spartan Sporting Complex.
Participating teams include 17 from Fiji, 24 from Australia, 14 from New Zealand, and two each from the USA and Canada. Eight Fijian teams will compete in the Premier division, six in the Over 40s, and three in the Over 45s categories. The Fijian teams in the Premier division include Labasa, Lomawai, Narere/Makoi, Suva, Sigatoka, Nadi, Nakasi, and Ulusila Yadua. The Over 40s category will see Labasa, Nadi, Sigatoka, Lautoka, Lomawai, and Labasa Viti, while Nasinu, Nadroga, and Lautoka will represent Fiji in the Over 45s division.
From Australia, seven teams will participate in the Premier division, seven in Over 40s, three in Over 45s, and seven in Over 50s. New Zealand will have seven teams in the Premier division, two in Over 40s, four in Over 45s, and one in Over 50s. The United States will be represented by USA Masters and USA Island Boys Sanatan in the Over 40s, while Canada will have Coral Coast Canada Sanatan and Viti Boys Canada Sanatan participating in the Over 50s category.
