4R FC from Ba and Ray United FC of Lautoka have successfully clinched their spots in the final playoff of the Dayals Sawmillers National Club Championship from the Western zone.
Ray United sealed their position with an impressive 3-1 victory over Nadroga’s Downtown FC in their final round-robin match. Finishing the tournament unbeaten, Ray United recorded two wins and a draw, showcasing their strong performance throughout the competition.
4R FC also secured their place in the finals after a series of determined matches. They began their campaign with a commanding 3-0 win against Downtown FC, faced a setback with a close 2-3 loss to Ray United, but rebounded with a decisive 5-1 victory over Nadi’s Army Delta FC in their concluding game.
Expressing pride in his team’s performance, 4R FC manager Naheed Nabi extended his gratitude to the players and officials. “Thanks to Almighty, we have achieved our aims. The referees were wonderful and it was a tough match from our opposition,” he stated, highlighting the resilience and effort put forth by his team.
