The charges stem from an investigation by the Fiji Police Mpaisa task force, which indicates that on February 9, 2024, the accused allegedly deceived a victim into paying $475 for a car part that was advertised on Facebook. Following the receipt of the payment, the accused reportedly severed all communication with the victim.
