The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced that the registration period for the 2025 Fiji Government scholarships opened on the 2nd of this month, following the release of Year 13 Examination Results. Potential applicants are encouraged to register and submit their applications as soon as possible, particularly those who are students in Year 13 this year, because certain scholarships come with quotas.
Applicants who have already registered must upload their Year 13 examination results and provide a final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI). It is important to note that applications will not be assessed based on provisional offer letters.
Avinay Kumar, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of TSLS, reminded students that the application period will remain open until January 31st of next year, allowing ample time for those who have not yet registered. Once applications are submitted, they will undergo processing to determine eligibility based on the established criteria. Applicants will receive updates on their applications via the email used for registration, and they can also check the status through the TSLS Online Application Portal.
In a proactive message, TSLS advises students to make informed decisions about their academic paths, taking into account the job market and future employment opportunities in their fields of interest.
This announcement emphasizes the importance of planning ahead for higher education and encourages students to seize the opportunity for financial support in their academic journey, promoting the idea that with the right preparation and hard work, a brighter future awaits.
Overall, this initiative reflects a commitment to supporting students in their educational endeavors and enhancing their chances of success in the job market.
