The Tertiary Scholarships and Loans Service (TSLS) has announced that registration for the 2025 academic year for Fiji Government scholarships officially began on the 2nd of this month. Following the release of Year 13 Examination Results, potential applicants are encouraged to take action as the deadline for application submissions is set for January 31 next year.
Those who have already registered need to upload their Year 13 examination results along with the final offer letter from their chosen Tertiary Education Institution (TEI). It’s important to note that TSLS will not assess applications based solely on provisional offer letters.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Avinay Kumar emphasizes that early registration is crucial, especially for Year 13 students in 2024, as certain scholarships have limited availability. After submitting applications successfully, candidates will enter the processing phase where their eligibility will be assessed. Results will be communicated via the email used during registration, and applicants will also have the option to monitor their application status through the TSLS Online Application Portal.
In addition, the TSLS advises students to thoughtfully choose their academic programs, keeping in mind the job market’s demands. This approach ensures that students are not only prepared academically but are also positioned for successful careers post-graduation.
Overall, this initiative highlights the importance of proactive engagement in academic pursuits and career planning among students, fostering a path towards a bright and informed future.
For students, this is a golden opportunity to secure financial support for their education, emphasizing the need for timely action in capitalizing on available resources.
